Head of Credit Risk Management (Western Bank)

Responsibilities:

• Review credit proposals, prepare the Corporate Credit Summaries and make recommendations re: acceptability of structure and risk profie.

• Maintain high credit and risk standards, both in terms of credit analysis and portfolio quality.

• Ensure that credit and risk standards and procedures are consistent with Group standards and local Credit Manuals and Guidelines.

• Establish and communicate the bank’s credit policy by creating and maintaining local credit manuals appropriate to the Moscow’s office business and consistent with Group standards.

• Improve and develop credit skills of employees by implementing a series of credit training workshops and by individually coaching employees as required.

• Create, communicate and maintain an efficient process for the sanctioning and follow-up of credit proposals both within Moscow’s office and Headquarters . 

Experience required:

• 5 to 10 years in a commercial/ corporate Relationship Manager role. Several years experience in a credit related role (Senior credit analyst, Risk manager) is also required.

• Attention to detail. Ability to assess credit risks in a disciplined rigorous manner.

• Comprehensive practical and technical credit skills, able to evaluate a range of corporate and commercial credit proposals.

• Ability to balance the conservative, constructive and competitive credit approach with the requirements of a demanding and competitive market.

• Native Russian speaker with strong English written and spoken skills.

• Ability to communicate well with colleagues at a variety of levels locally and throughout the Group standards.

• Relevant financial education to a Degree level would be beneficial.
